My First "Baby's" Birthday

Several weeks ago my First Baby Boy,
had a significant birthday.
He turned 21 years old!
Here he is with Daddy in the hospital,
safe and sound after a very
difficult labor and delivery,
which ended up being a C- Section.

He has been a strong-willed little fighter
from the beginning!

Named by his Poppy,
"The Gusto Kid"
My Boy never just walked-
He ran, and ran, and ran...

A curious and very smart little guy,
always asking
"Why?"
He still does...

First Birthday Fun!

First hair cut.
It hurt my heart so much
to cut off his little baby curls in the back. :(
Following Daddy,
As little boys will do.

I love this Amazing Young Man so much!

So, here is my moment to talk about
my child, as only a Mommy can.

Yep, this is my day that I am going to go on and on...

My First Boy is-
Smart
Creative,
Loving,
Caring,
A Hugger
(I LOVE that!)
Loves his brothers so much,
A loving Son
Brother, Grandson,
Nephew,Cousin, Friend,
Boyfriend to Jessica :)
He always thinks out of the box,
Very Unique,
Artistic,
Talented,
Enthusiastic about things he loves,
He is kind,
Compassionate
&
He is a Blessing to our family!!!

I Love You Hoon!!!

My greatest hope, desire and prayer,
for all three of my boys,
is not wealth or fame,
but that they
Love & Follow The Lord.

"I will instruct you and teach you
in the way you should go.
I will guild you with My eye."
Psalm 32:8

Happy, Happy Monday!!!

There are a lot of people
who don't care for Mondays.
I, personally, really like Mondays.
It is the "Fresh Start" feeling
that I like.

Anyone else out there, besides me, a fan of
Mondays?

Streams in the Desert...

"If you aspire to be a person of consolation,
if you want to share
the priestly gift of sympathy,
if you desire to go beyond
giving commonplace comfort
to a heart that is tempted,
and if you long to go through
the daily exchanges of life with
the kind of tact that never inflicts pain,
then you must be prepared
to pay the price for a costly education-
for like Christ,
you must suffer."

Frederick William Robertson

We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God.
Acts 14:22

This is from a devotional called,
that a dear friend just sent to me
because our family is going through
some hard physical challenges.
Thank you Nancy.

It is the small, personal acts of kindness
that warm my heart!

Pretty, Pretty Fabric on Friday Pretties

One afternoon,
perusing the on-line fabric stores,
I came across a sale.
Oh Yey!!!
So, I put a couple of items in my cart.
It was a better deal to buy a certain amount-
you know that Free Shipping amount?
And,
Presto-
Fabric is on its way!
Oh, the Thrill when it arrives!!!
I really do believe two things-

1. Presentation matters

2. It's the little things that matter,
like a sweet Thank you.

The fabric is
Sandi Henderson's
Meadowsweet Designer Surprise
&
Amy Butler's Daisy Chain

Next are a couple of things
that I picked up when I was visiting my Sis.
She has so many cute, little, amazing shops
in her little town.
This is some wonderful vintage fabric
that I had bought before and was almost out of.
I LOVE IT!!!
I was so happy to find some more.

In the same shop were
these vintage pom-poms and fringe.
So Mine!!!

And this little 70's beauty
is a big round table cloth.
How cute will that be outside?
Make sure that you hop around
to all of the wonderful Blogs that are part of
Friday Pretties!!!

Another Pretty that is worth taking a look at is
She writes about a beautiful
experience that happen to her.
It just touched my heart.

Junie was just wondering...
Have you linked up for
Friday Pretties
yet?

Our Wonderful Wedding Party

Jer and I
Husband & Wife
Forever

Jerry is in there somewhere...

Twenty-six years ago today
two very young kids got married.

Those young kids,
who thought that they were Very grow-up,
were Big Jer and I.

We were 21 and 22.
Some would say that that is not so young...
We were!

And, now that I have a 21 year old
I really know how young that is.

We stood before friends, family
and most importantly, before God.
and vowed to
Love and Honor
each other.
We promised to be married until
Death.

Do 21 year old "Kids" really understand
"Until death do us part."
?

Well, through all of these years together,
all of our big and small events,
all of our unbelievable joys
and some heartbreaking trials,
we have,
By The Grace Of God,
stood the test of time.

We do not take any of these years for granted.
We are thankful, every day,
for August 11, 1984 until today.

We are even thankful for those heartbreaks,
because through adversity
strength is truly born.

To

Thank you for our life together!
I love you more now than I ever have before.

has been,
through the last couple of hard years,
a steady and compassionate
He has thought of me above himself
during several trials this year.
Trials that I could have easily drown in
if he had not been holding me up.

That is True Love.

At 21 you think that you understand love-
I say Ha Ha.

True, long-lasting enduring love takes
Time.

Jer,
Thank you for all of this
Time.
Life is very good with You!

I Love You,
J.
Here is a song someone suggested.
So sweet!
