Friday Pretties

This is a treasure from my Mom's house.
It was my Grandma's.

More treasures from Mom's...
These little dessert dishes
were my Great-Grandma's.

I have a collection of these lady vases.
These are my Spring Girls.

Yes, Dandelions again...
They're Pretty!

And last, but not least...
The Ever Lovely Junie :)
Hee Hee

Junie is sitting in a chair, Her Chair, next to the desk, and that girl is just snoring away.

She just makes me laugh...

Pecking Away...

I went to my second class at Quilts Plus today.

I was hoping that I would get
more accomplished on my bag
than just this...
But, that's the way it goes.
It's like painting something,
the prep takes a long time.

So, I hope that I don't run into any snafu's.
But, my very patient instructor, Amber,
told me that I can come in anytime,
and she would talk me through it.

Amber is on the left,
and on the right is my buddy
(Sewn With Grace)

I can't help it-
I love the thread displays.
I know that there are others out there
who feel the same way-
I've seen your blogs.
Everyday I am going to peck away
at my many projects.
I am hoping that the pressure of
putting this out into the cyber world
will push me to finish all
of my projects!

I will let you know...

Projects, Projects, Projects...

Well, I have had,
and have many projects going on.
I don't always finish one,
before I start another.
Actually, I really never completely
finish one
without starting three or more...
It's the "Curse of the Crafter"
Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

This is one of my projects that I finished this week.
More about that next post...

Here is my latest -
Tomorrow I am going back
to my sewing class
and I am going to make this
FUN
Field Bag & Tote by Amy Butler.

This is the fabric that I chose.
I can't wait to make it!
And bonus,
I am going to learn how
to do piping.

A new life skill...

I also have some Major Yard Work to do.
The weeds are overtaking my yard already,
and the trees and flower are barely blooming!
I bought brand new equipment
to inspirer me to get to work.
I hope it works-
I hope I get inspired!

I have a little table that I need to paint,
and I thought that this color would be fun.
It's called "Blue Spa".

This is a Janet Hill picture that I need to have framed.
So pretty...

Here are three "Garden Girl" aprons,
that Nina is modeling for me today,
that I have actually finished,
and I have even sold one!

A special thanks to Glow'in Girl
for her suggestion of the name Nina
for the "Girl friend"
(Check out my post "Mission Accomplished" to hear the story of Nina...)

The "Garden Girl" apron could also
be the "Crafter Girl" apron.

So-
There are my projects.
They make me happy because
I am a Crafty Girl at heart...
I just can't stop myself!

Springtime Lovelies

Aaaaaaahhhh...
Junie and I both love Springtime the BEST!!!

Bright Idea...

Renee, from Sewn With Grace, & I had a bright idea...
that turned out to be
Quite Bright
&
Quite Fun!!!
We decide to go to a local quilt shop called Quilts Plus
and take a class together.
The teacher there told us about
the Amy Butler "Messenger Bag"
and that it was a very challenging project.
Well Renee and I decided that we were up for the challenge,
and signed up, on the spot, before we lost our courage!
The class is two consecutive Tuesdays from 10:00-3:00.
Thankfully the teacher had suggested
cutting everything out before class.
I am so glad that she did, because it took three hours!
And, she told us that that is fast!
Like I said...
Challenging!

So, we bought all of the things that we needed,
did our prep work the night before,
and Tuesday morning I filled up
my wonderful Amy Butler craft bag.
(I didn't make this little gem, but Oh I love it!)
And off we went!
Oh, yes, I almost forgot...
we had breakfast before class,
with lots and lots of coffee,
priorities you know-
Then off to class.

Very F-U-N!

I will blog more about that, but today I wanted to show you some things that we found during our lunch break at a little florist a couple of doors down.

Before you enter, please take a very deep Sniff...
It smells soooo good in here!
Enjoy!

More about our bags soon...

Clarifications...

Hello fellow bloggers-

This is a clarification post.

I am not a chicken owner.

The egg with the "twins" in it,
from my previous post,
was just a plain'ol egg from the grocery.

I wish that I had chickens in my back yard,
But I don't.
AND
I did not throw the eggs away.
I just fed them to unsuspecting family members.
:)

That is the end of the clarifications.

Now,
I am going to move on to tell you about
She just posted such a nice thank you on her blog
to me for the Ooh-La-La Bag that she received this week.
Thanks Gloria!
