Hi Sweetie!

I've never done a 100% homemade christmas, but I do try my best to include at least one thing homemade. I've made sugar scrubs that were always a big hit, and then the usual food goodies all wrapped up in pretty packaging. This year I'm participating in an ornament exchange that requires you to make 10 homemade ornaments - and I'll probably make more for friends too. Having a blast with that and will post photos when I finish. Those capes are ADORABLE! If only I knew how to sew... :)

Hope you are having a lovely week!

Sending you hugs,
Bonnie

I would love to have a handmade Christmas. I find it is much easier to do with the women family and friends, then men, but even so, not 100% handmade. I think it would be wonderful!

I would so love a total Homemade Christmas. I tried to do this on my husbands side of the family and they would not hear of it!! They made me feel bad for even suggesting it!!!! They said some of them could not make things...I said everyone can bake cookies!
Good luck!!

I love making gifts for people, but find that men and boys are very hard to make gifts for. I guess you could sew them shirts or make quilts for them, or bake?. I have to admit though, it is hard for me to make gifts for people when I feel like they don't appreciate the time that goes into them. :]
Have fun making your gifts! I am sure they will be wonderful ones...:)

Oh, I almost forgot, I have received some very lovely handmade Christmas gifts! My mom always makes beautiful gifts (paintings, crocheting, sewing), one of my nieces hand knit me a scarf..and the other niece a set of cards she had made up of drawings, and an ornament with my name she made at a ceramic store, she also made a bag with a turtle drawing she had printed on it. My sister helped with the detail work of these gifts (sending them off to be printed), which makes them even more special! :)

If only there were no men in my life I would do it!! Hook, line and sinker. :) But, alas...there are men in my life. So, I do give a few homemade gifts to the ones who really appreciate them....the women! :)

My Great Grandmother "Big Grandma" made every little girl in the extended family sweet little aprons every year fro Christmas!! I still love aprons. In fact, Big Grandma made sun bonnets for Pres. Eisenhower's Grandchildren!!
You were one of the first blogs I read when I began blogging back in the spring of this year.
If my memory serves me well, is it you or your sister battling cancer? What an inspiration to me!!
Blessings
